Using Facebook To Boost Our Pharmacy Buyer Day Petition

The Pharmacy Buyer Day Petition signatures are still just trickling in. However, since anyone can sign the petition, and some of us may feel self-conscious about asking your neighbors to sign it, or explaining it to your friends, PPO Webmaster Mike Thomas figured out a way to help get your friends to sign in.

The PetitionOnline site has the capability to link our Pharmacy Buyer Day petition to several social sites, one of them being Facebook (www.facebook.com), the most popular social site on the Internet. Anyone that has a Facebook account can use the link. It’s located on the bottom of Pharmacy Buyer Day PetitionOnline page. Use the link on the HOME page of PharmacyPurchasing.com to get to our PetitionOnline page. The PetitionOnline site will walk you through the procedure. It only takes a couple of minutes to set up the link, and you also have the option to put in a little personal note of your own. It's working so far; there are new signatures on the petition who are not PPO subscribers.

So help give the petition a little boost. Instead of making someone a zombie or forwarding them a "Hot or Not" quiz, put something out there that will be beneficial to you as a professional. Let’s get those 1,000 signatures!

Video from the Conference X

While at the Conference, you might have noticed, Mike Thomas, Conference Moderator, running around with a camera and a video camera. The result is the first video of the Conference ever posted on the Internet!
It's a short (4 minutes, 49 seconds) video and has no educational, social, financial or practical value whatsoever. I just took the camera and shot whatever I had the chance to.
It's on YOUtube, and it's worth a look.  For those who can't watch it at work because some facilities block streaming video, it's also available on Google Video.  It's also streaming video, unfortunately, but the Google Video file has the added advantage of being downloadable, which means you can download it to a storage device, like a flash drive or even a CD and show from the drive or CD.

It was an experiment, so there's no real coherence or plot, but it fun to watch.  If you can, please drop me a comment whether you'd like to see more of this kind of thing.
