that company’s Sponsor Fees are paid, we will reward you or your Pharmacy Department with a 7% commission, based on
the amount that company paid for their basic displaying booth package for that timeframe (Sponsor booth package fees increase

New Site for Conference XII
It's official!
Click on picture for hotel information
The move was precipitated by our former Conference location's inability to supply our needs, both in hotel
rooms and meeting space. With 1200 more rooms than The Orleans and five times the convention space, it'll be some time before
we outgrow them. The dates for the Conference are August 11-14, 2008. Even though we will
be getting a larger block of rooms in 2008, waiting until the last minute is still not a good idea. We will not be the only
ones using their hotel rooms and meeting space. The Hilton is the official home of the Creation Entertainment STAR TREK(TM)
National Convention, which will be winding up as we are camping in. It's the largest Star Trek convention in the country,
and Trekkies and Trekkers from all over the world converge at the Hilton.
The LV Hilton's rate for our group is $105/weeknight, and
it should be the same name as before, the conference name spelled out without the "12th Annual" (Pharmacy
Purchasing Networking Conference spelled out). Or, just click on the 'HILTON'
icon above to be directed to our online reservation site.
Their reservation number is: 888-732-7117.

Video from the Conference X
While
at the Conference, you might have noticed, Mike Thomas, Conference Moderator, running around with a camera and a video camera.
The result is the first video of the Conference ever posted on the Internet! It's a short (4 minutes, 49 seconds)
video and has no educational, social, financial or practical value whatsoever. I just took the camera and shot whatever I
had the chance to. It's on YOUtube, and it's worth a look. For those who can't watch it at work because some facilities block streaming video, it's also
available on Google Video. It's also streaming video, unfortunately, but the Google Video file has the added advantage of being downloadable,
which means you can download it to a storage device, like a flash drive or even a CD and show from the drive or CD.
It was an experiment, so there's no real coherence or plot, but it fun to watch.
If you can, please drop me a comment whether you'd like to see more of this kind of thing.

Join Your Fellow Pharmacy Buyers
at the 12th Annual Pharmacy Purchasing Networking Conference at the Las Vegas Hilton, August 11-14, 2008
As the only national meeting exclusively for Pharmacy
Buyers, the 12th Annual Pharmacy Purchasing Networking Conference offers a unique opportunity for Pharmacy Purchasing
Professionals in all disciplines and work settings to come together to learn the latest trends in Pharmacy Purchasing.
Pharmacy
Purchasing is one of the most neglected, but important, specialties within the Profession of Pharmacy. Pharmacy Purchasing Outlook newsletter (PPO),
has been the independent resource for the institutional pharmacy purchasing profession since March of 1994, and since
1997, also conducted and hosted Annual Conferences for this profession.
The 12th Annual Pharmacy
Purchasing Networking Conference will be held this August 11-14 at the Las Vegas Hilton hotel in Nevada. Last year’s event was one of
the most important gatherings of pharmacy purchasing professionals to date. No
other conference focuses on institutional pharmacy purchasing and group purchasing as this event does, with an estimated 10
hours of CE available for Technicians, Buyers, and Pharmacists, including the elusive 1 hour of Pharmacy Law required for
PTCB re-certification.
Also
note, new or current PPO subscriber can save about 30% on the Registration Fee to our annual conferences (this option
is available on the Buyer Registration Form).
Approximately 400 Pharmacy Purchasing Professionals
and 80 Sponsoring drug companies, gather in Las Vegas for
one purpose and one purpose only - to hear educational sessions geared towards Pharmacy Buyers, and to network with fellow
Buyers.
All this, set in the Las Vegas Hilton, one of Vegas'
iconic hotels, which also has a convenient monorail stop right in one of the main areas of the hotel that will take you up
& down the Strip, which stops at many of the other Strip hotels. The 12th Annual Pharmacy Purchasing Networking Conference is the only sure thing in Vegas!
